The Heart of Racing Set to Make Bathurst 12H Debut

BATHURST, Australia (15 February 2024) -The 2024 season will see the Heart of Racing (HOR) take on legendary events across the globe.

This weekend, the Heart of Racing heads down under to compete in its first Bathurst 12H in Australia for the famed Intercontinental GT Challenge event at Mount Panorama Circuit in the Pro/Am category.

The iconic event, which is staged on the challenging 6.213km circuit and takes the green flag ahead of sunrise, will see Ian James, Ross Gunn and Alex Riberas join forces as the racers make their debut on “The Mountain” for the 12 Hour.

The trio opened the 2024 season with the traditional Rolex 24 At Daytona in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition, where Gunn and Riberas scored a fourth place finish. James and Riberas will also compete March 1-3rd in the FIA World Endurance Championship season opener in Qatar on board the No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage LMGT3 entry.

“This is a dream come true for me to be racing here at Bathurst,” said James. “I have watched races here on TV for decades but didn’t think I would get the chance to ever drive here. The track is incredible in person and I can’t wait for the race to start.”

The Bathurst 12H will be live streamed on SRO Motorsports Group’s YouTube page (@GTWorld) with the green flag dropping at 1:45 pm ET on Saturday February 17th. Qualifying on Friday will also be live streamed at 8:40 pm ET.
