The Heart of Racing to continue momentum to Sebring

SRO

Sebring, Fla. (30 April 2024) - The Heart of Racing Team returns to Florida for the next rounds of the SRO Pirelli GT4 America and GT America powered by AWS championship at Sebring International Raceway.

Hannah Grisham and Hannah Greenemeier, currently leading the Pirelli GT4 America AM category in championship points, will team up for their second event weekend together in the No. 26 Aston Martin Vantage GT4.

“I’m looking forward to Sebring after our strong start in Sonoma,” said Grisham. “We are currently leading the points championship and are hoping to carry that momentum into Round 2. Excited to be back again with Hannah Greenemeier and The Heart of Racing.”

“The Hannahs” won their first race during their first outing together at Sonoma Raceway. The pair followed the win up with a third place finish on Sunday. Greenemeier will be making her first official laps at Sebring International Raceway, though the young driver has previously driven on the portion of the track called the “club circuit” during a Mazda shootout in 2021. Grisham will return to the Florida circuit with a fifth place finish under her belt from the 2023 season.

“I’m really looking forward to racing at Sebring,” said Greenemeier. “I’ve never driven the full course so I’m excited to experience the whole track this time around. I’m ready to hit the track with Hannah and continue to learn from everyone. I know that everyone on the team will be giving their best as we try to continue the momentum from Sonoma.”

The No. 24 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 will see Roman De Angelis and Gray Newell reunite in the Pirelli GT4 America ProAm category for two one hour races. The pair currently sits third in championship points standings after just two races.

At Sonoma the De Angelis / Newell duo scored a second place finish in the season-opening race and followed it up with a fourth place finish on Sunday. Last season, De Angelis and Newell were teamed up at Sebring International Raceway scoring a fifth place finish.

Newell will also be on track in GT America powered by AWS in the No. 25 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for two 40-minute races. Newell currently sits second in championship points standings after four races.

No stranger to the former Florida airfield, Newell scored two fifth place finishes last year in GT America powered by AWS. Most recently the Seattle native has qualified on pole and scored three podium finishes and a fourth place finish so far this season.

“Sebring is going to be important for us to push forward in the championship standings and start solidifying our points,” said Newell. “From here it’s about making no mistakes and maximizing gains. Sebring has been a tough track for us in the past with mechanical failures and contact taking away what would have been good weekends, our goal is to just keep pace and ensure that doesn’t happen again.”

All races will air on GT World’s YouTube channel starting Saturday afternoon at 12:55pm ET with GT America powered by AWS, followed by Pirelli GT4 America at 5:00pm ET. Sunday morning will see a second GT America powered by AWS at 8:00am ET. The final Pirelli GT4 America race will be Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm ET.
