Tuscany, Italy (24 March 2023) - After the successful start to the 24H Series season in Dubai in January, the cooperation between the American team The Heart of Racing (HOR) and SPS automotive performance continues.
The Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello hosts the 12H Mugello March 24-26 with the main event spanning over two six hour races: one on Saturday and one on Sunday.
The event in Tuscany marks the opening round of the European 24H Series championship and HOR’s Ian James, Roman De Angelis and Gray Newell will share the wheel of the No. 27 GT3 ProAm entry. The three drivers campaigned together in the opening round of the 24H Series in Dubai and took third place in the GT3 ProAm class in their first outing in this car.
The trio qualified P1 in class and P2 overall in today’s sessions.
On March 25th at 11:15 a.m. local time, the start signal will be given for the first race section of the 12H Mugello. The second part of the race will be released on Sunday, 26 March at 09:00 a.m. Watch all twelve hours on the 24H Series Youtube channel.
