The Heart of Racing Finalizes 2025 IMSA GTD Driver Lineup
Stevenson, Gamble, and Robichon to pilot the No. 27 Aston Martin Vantage
(February 13, 2025) - Casper Stevenson and Tom Gamble will join the Heart of Racing Team for the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. Zacharie Robichon will be a part of the No. 27 Aston Martin Vantage GTD lineup for the endurance rounds as the team goes for the 2025 IMSA GTD Championship.
Stevenson will make his first full IMSA WeatherTech season debut after making his first IMSA start at the Rolex 24 At Daytona in January where he finished third with Gamble, Robichon, and Mattia Drudi. Since 2022, Stevenson has competed in a range of championships including the World Endurance Championship, GT World Challenge Europe, European Le Mans Series, and Asian Le Mans Series. The 22 year-old finished third in the 2024 European Le Mans Series Championship competing in an Aston Martin Vantage.
“I’m very happy to be competing in the full season of IMSA this year with the Heart of Racing Team,” said Stevenson. “After the opportunity at Daytona, it will be amazing to be with the team for the year. I will be discovering all the new American circuits for the first time which will be exciting. Driving with Tom (Gamble) and Zach (Robichon) I’m confident that we can have a successful season.”
In addition to his full WEC season Valkyrie driving duties, Gamble will compete in non-conflicting IMSA WeatherTech races alongside Stevenson. The English driver has six IMSA WeatherTech starts under his belt, racing at tracks including Daytona International Speedway, Sebring International Raceway, and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Like Stevenson, Gamble will be looking to Valkyrie teammates Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis for the remainder of the IMSA circuits.
“I can’t wait to join the Heart of Racing Team for my first season in GTD and drive alongside Casper (Stevenson) and Zach (Robichon),” said Gamble. “We had a strong start to the season with a podium finish in Daytona so hopefully we can keep building on that. I’m also looking forward to experiencing some new circuits! I’d like to say a massive thank you to the team for this opportunity and I’m very excited for what should be an amazing season.”
Robichon will be adding to his already busy 2025 schedule for the Heart of Racing Team, as he will also be competing in the IMSA WeatherTech endurance rounds. After competing in the 24 Hours of Dubai, Rolex 24 At Daytona, and Bathurst 12 Hours in the famous blue Heart of Racing livery, it was also announced that Robichon will compete in the full WEC LMGT3 season earlier in the month. The 2025 season marks the seventh year of IMSA competition for the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech GTD Champion.
The Heart of Racing Team No. 27 squad will be back in action at Sebring International Raceway March 13-15th for the Mobil1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The same Sebring weekend will mark Aston Martin THOR’s debut of the Valkyrie in IMSA GTP competition.
